eptember meeting, our speaker was Ellis Katzof, Executive Director & CEO of the Pathstone Mental health Centre who are the primary provider of children’s mental health treatment in Niagara.He provided very compelling insights into the stigmas associated with mental illness and impressed us with the very innovative and aggressive programs that they have launched in our community to address the needs of the significant number of citizens who need help in this area.
As this was our Annual General Meeting, we elected our Executive team for next year to be led by Bruce Knicley. Many thanks to the outgoing Executive who served us so well over the past year.
At our next meeting on Tuesday, October 9th at 9:30 a.m., our speaker will be Dr. Janice Giesbrecht, Director of Oncology, Walker Cancer Centre, St. Catharines General Hospital
